We're back!

After four months of Lockdown 3.0 we're so pleased to be able to finally re-open on Tuesday 13th April.

We're lucky to have a lovely spacious Beer Garden, so we are able to offer outside service in accordance with COVID guidelines.

Opening hours:

Week beginning: 12th April

Tuesday - Sunday

Week Beginning 17th April - onwards

Wednesday - Sunday

Food:                          Drinks:

12-6pm                      12-8*pm

                                  (last orders 7pm)

*This may be extended as it gets lighter

All tables should be booked in advanced to ensure smooth service, social distancing

and time to ensure high cleaning standards.

Bookings will be allocated in 1:45min slots unless guests wish to stay longer and there is space to do so.  We will ask you whether you wish to enjoy our delicious dog house menu or you're planning to have a few drinks so we can manage our kitchen bookings.

We only have a small kitchen and all our food is cooked fresh so it may be necessary to limit Dog House bookings, but there's our New Beer Tapas menu should you fancy a few nibbles with your pint!

Track & Trace:

It is now a requirement that all guests over 16 years must sign in when visiting the premises.

You can either use the Track & Trace QR code at the entrance or fill in the slip given to you by a member of staff.

Toilet Access:

There is no access to the building except for toilet access, there is a one in, one out system and entry is from the front of the pub.

Being in Cumbria, we often expect colder weather this time of year so we recommend wrapping up for your booking.  Whilst we hope to have some covered space, we legally must have 50% of the sides uncovered and it is not always possible to guarantee a covered table.

We will have some blankets to rent should you wish to use them.

Should the weather become too poor we will consider not opening the pub for the welfare of both our guests and our staff. Will contact you as soon as possible should you booking be affected.

Thank You For Your Patience:

We are so proud of our wonderful team, who have worked tirelessly with the ever-changing guidelines, enhanced cleaning and new procedures that COVID has required, over the last year, and we know the re-opening will be no different.

We thank you, in advanced for your support, as we work through, yet more, new ways of working.  We will, as always, aim to ensure the highest service possible but please bear with us as we all adapt to the new systems.
